This is one mighty strange album! Dr. John delivers an album almost as creative as his legendary debut. Actually in some regards, this is even better than Gris-Gris. It's probably more melodic and less freaky overall. "Twilight Zone" is a highlight/5(11).

Babylon is the second album by the American singer-songwriter Dr. John, who also contributed to thousands of other musicians snugoncamimabotoconvaxatera.co shortly after the ground-breaking debut album Gris-Gris he created another wonderful record, full of his voodoo psychedelia and mysterious R&B snugoncamimabotoconvaxatera.co's haunting and freaky, but also an attempt by the band to say something about the times during which.

Dr. John's ambition remained undiminished on his second solo album, Babylon, released shortly after the groundbreaking voodoo-psychedelia-New Orleans R&B fusion of his debut, snugoncamimabotoconvaxatera.co results, however, were not nearly as consistent or impressive. Coolly received by critics, the album nonetheless is deserving of attention, though it pales a bit in comparison with Gris-Gris.
