Sep 22,  · ‘Transformation’ is a mellow track which in some ways belongs to the mood from his previous album and the tribute to his old friend, Mose Allison, in ‘Benediction’ is exemplary. The album oozes with tributes to jazz, blues and soul giants from the past with Van’s own contributions' not out of place in this hall of fame/5().
